Minori is a quite ancient settlement. According to some historians the city dates back to the first century AC. Its original name is Rheginna Minor.
Many roman aristocrats built their summer villas in Minori. The Roman Villa archaeological site testifies that. The villa is just a few steps from the hotel, still perfectly preserved, and open to visitiors.
The majestic Basilica of Santa Trofimena, built in the late '700 is also worth a visit.
